The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, established in 2000, seek to advance environmental conservation and cutting-edge scientific research around the world and improve the quality of life in the San Francisco Bay Area. The goal of the Foundation’s Andes-Amazon Initiative is to maintain the ecological function of the Amazon Basin through the conservation of Amazonian forest by creating and connecting protected areas.  For more information, visit www.moore.org.
