MEMBERSHIP FEES

Membership fees vary in accordance with the category of membership.The following membership fees apply to RTRS.
Producer Associations and Producers10.000 ha
NGO :(with the following threecharacteristics: internationals, from a developed country, and with an annualbudget over 250.000 euros). NGOswith only one or two of the indicated characteristics should apply as"All Others.

NOTE: For the purposes of membership fees, small scale producers are defined as individual producers with a production area smaller than 10.000 ha. In order to qualify in this category please attach a description of your production area (in ha) having regard to regional and local definitions of scale. For the purpose of membership fees, international Civil Society Organizations in developed countries with an annual budget under Euro 250.000 must provide documentationin order to qualify for this category.

ADDITIONAL INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION

For the RTRS to understand your role and impact within the soy value chain, this section presents a series of questions to you. The answers to these questions is strictly for internal use, so confidential and only used for the analisys of your membership application.
If you are a producer of soy, please answer the following questions:
How many hectares of soy did your company cultivate this year, or if harvest season is already over, how many did you cultivate during last season? What is the average yield?
How many hectares of soy does your company expect to cultivate the next season?
What are the market destinations of your soy production?
In which country/countries do you produce, if there is more than one what is the scale in each of the countries?
If you have different production types, what is the % division between GM, Non GM and Organic production?
What other certification schemes does your company have?
If you are a buyer of soy, please answer the following questions:
How many tons of soy did you buy last year?
How many tons of soy do you expect to buy the current year?
What´s the soy derivate you source? If there is more than one please give an estimation of the division between them.
What do you use the soy (derivates) for?
Do you have a specific policy on what kind of soy you do and do not buy? (Non-GM, organic, etc.)
If you neither buy nor produce soy, please explain your interest in the soy value chain.

What is the RTRS Standard?

The RTRS Standard is a set of principles, criteria (P&C) and indicators that regulates the process of responsible soy production. It involves social and environmental aspects as well as responsible relations with local communities and best agricultural practices. The scope of the RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production was approved last June.
