Public consultation on the Principles & Criteria field test version document, The objective of the Public Consultation is to gather comments and opinions on the National Interpretation Guides developed by the National Technical Groups on the "Principles and Criteria - field test version", in order to adapt the generic Principles to each region's reality. The National Interpretation Guides were developed taking into account the feedback obtained from the field tests and from the professional work of the National Technical Group conformed by 2 participants of each constituency (producers, industry and civil society), each with one vote, each being a specialist on the different matters. To participate at the Public Consultation please click on the corresponding country and download the National Interpretation Guide and the feedback form.

Benchmarking RTFO-RTRS
DID YOU KNOW THAT ?
Benchmarking of the revised "RTRS Principles and Criteria" against the 'RTFO Sustainability Meta-Standard". Based on this benchmark of the draft RTRS principles and criteria, RTRS would meet the environmental 'qualifying standard' level. RTRS would also meet the full social Meta-Standard, becoming the first benchmarked standard to do so. The RTFO Meta-Standard is at the heart of current biofuel sustainability reporting in the UK. It includes criteria relating to carbon stocks, biodiversity, air soil and water protection, workers' rights and land rights. Feedstock standards (such as RTRS) are compared to the Meta-Standard, and those that meet most criteria are judged to 'qualify', while any standard meeting all of the RTFO criteria is judged to meet the full Meta-Standard. .
