Round Table on Responsible Soy Association

The National Technical Group (NTG) in Brazil is formed by:

• APDC (Producer)

• Bayer CropScience (Industry)

• Monsanto (Industry)

• WWF (NGO)

• Business Social Development (BSD)

• Grupo André Maggi (Producer)

• IBGS (Civil Society)

The first meeting of the National Technical Group was on 12th and 13th October 2009, in Sao Paulo (Brazil). We conducted a public consultation for 45 days to receive comments on the National Interpretation Guidelines ended January 15, 2010.

The second meeting of National Technical Group was on June 14th 2010, in Sao Paulo (Brazil).

The aim was to adapt the RTRS Standard to the reality of the country.

We conducted a second public consultation -2nd round National Interpretation RTRS Standard for Brazil- for 30 days. Ended August 22th, 2010.

The “RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production with Brazilian NI_V1.0” document was approved by the RTRS Executive Board on 29 March, 2011.
