RTRS recognizes the different worldwide realities, geographic regulations and production systems. In this sense and in order to ensure that the RTRS Standard for Responsible Soy Production takes into account existing variations from country to country, it promotes the development of National Interpretations of International Indicators and Guidelines.
China’s National Interpretation was carried out by the National Technical Group, which consists of representatives of the three RTRS constituencies: Producers, Trade, Industry and Finance and Civil Society. The group met twice – in September 2010 and December 2010 - , when it analyzed the responsible soy RTRS Standard. The group will hold its third meeting during 2013 in order to analyze the public consultation outcomes and feedback with producers. For that reason, in the coming days a public consultation will take place for 60 days: from 22 January 2013 to 22 March 2013.
