Habitat y Desarrollo Foundation


The foundation was created in 1992 and it is a member of the UICN (World Union for Nature). Its mission is to “promote nature conservation, sustainable development and social equity, in association with both the public and private sectors”
The foundation works with issues such as biodiversity conservation, soil and freshwater resource conservation; protected areas, environmental education, rural development and poverty in the Chaco region; sustainable tourism and ecotourism; environmental certification, carbon capture and storage; involvement by the private sector in environmental issues; home litter treatment; and it leads the environmental Chapter “Transformar Santa Fe” (Transforming Santa Fe). It is developing a program on conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity in the region of Chaco Santafecino.
